Electronics are a huge part of everyday life in today’s modern world. Many of us would be lost without constant interaction with our computers and cell phones. Electronics really have no age barrier. Children as young as elementary school, adults of all ages and senior citizens in their late retirement are carrying and interacting with electronic devices. Now that electronics are being used throughout the public education system, all future generations of children will be highly efficient with computers and other electronics.

Computers were brought into modern homes in the early 90s and have become a significant part of everyday life. They have had a drastic effect on business and they have even created millions of jobs. Many successful websites exist today thanks to the invention of the modern computer. Companies like Google would not be around and prospering as they are if our fascination with electronics and computers had never sparked. In essence, electronics sparked the invention of the computer and the computer sparked the invention of the Internet, so every business that uses the technology of the World Wide Web owes its credit to this long line of inventions.

There are many different fields behind electronics and some of them have gone under the radar and are unknown to the majority of society. Electronics are operated through what most of us know as a graphical user interface. The devices we know today such as our tablets, cell phones and computers are ran by what is called an operating system. This operating system has been developed by high-tech companies like Microsoft and Google. What most people don’t know, is that the operating system was created through what is called programming code. This code is read by the computer and transmitted into what you see on the screen. Additionally, programming code is used to create virtually everything on modern-day electronics. Software on our computers, games on every device including consoles like the Xbox and PlayStation, and applications on our cell phones and tablets are all created through different types of programming code. Programming code is divided into different languages, with each language specializing in different things. These languages are much like the languages that we speak with one another like English and Spanish, only they are used to translate things to the computer.

Television and other electronics also serve as a form of education. They have introduced a new way of learning that has opened the door for entrepreneurs and young adults to research and educate themselves through interactive videos and research on the web. Electronics now exist in practically every home in the world, as well as every business. Most children toys now feature audio or video and the electronics that power them are what is so fascinating to young kids. Without the electronics that human beings have invented, most of the world would probably seem dull and boring from what we are used to. Televisions have become our main source of entertainment for practically everyone in America. Without television, most of us would not have an everyday activity that keeps us entertained.
